Cars of the Month 2000
We hope to have a picture soonRick James car was picked for car of the month. We had postponed his car for one month in hope that we could get a picture …. but no luck.
I promise I will get one in as soon as the car is back on the road.
Rick is the proud owner of a 1980 Triumph TR8 and from what he told me…is sounds sweet!
He purchased it about 5 years ago and has put many a mile on it since then. He definitely has fun with the car and seems to be constantly modifying it.
This two seat convertible came to Rick with a rough body and a 4 cylinder. He got the body work done and painted with the help of Marty and changed it to a V8. Actually, since Rick has owned the Triumph he has upgraded the V8 three times and has put in two transmissions. It currently has a high performance 3.5/5 liter.
Rick has customized the car to the max from the leather interior to the 400 watt AM/FM CD player with 6 speakers, "You want to make sure you can hear it when you're riding down the road with the top down!"
I am looking forward to seeing this car on the road again…..possibly getting a ride. I'll make sure I include a picture in a future Newsletter.
